Description

Branchlets fulvous tomentose; prickles slightly recurved. Leaves ovate, 6-11 by 5.5-10.5 cm, 9-12-lobed, lobes acute, base cordate, margin irregularly serrate, upper surface rugose, lower surface white-tomentose, basally 5-nerved, coriaceous. Racemes about 10 cm long; bracts broadly ovate, shallowly laciniate. Flowers about 2 cm across; calyx cupular, lobes lanceate; petals broadly ovate, margins crispate. Fruits reddish.
